Senior Medical Writer
AOI Communications, L.P., an oncology-focused medical communications company located in Exton, PA, is seeking an in-house Senior Medical Writer, reporting to the Medical Director.
Position Type: Full-time
Position Summary
- Provide medical writing expertise for manuscripts, abstracts, posters, oral presentations, and other formats
- Manage freelance medical writers as needed for individual projects
- Work collaboratively with internal operations, editing, graphic design, and client services personnel to ensure medical writing projects are completed on time and within budget
- Assist Medical Director with client communications and other activities as needed
Prerequisites
- Degree in biomedical sciences or similar discipline; advanced degree is a plus
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a medical writer, preferably within a medical communications company, that includes development of medical content in a variety of formats
- Expert knowledge of oncology therapeutic areas and clinical study design
- Expert ability to conduct literature searches and analyze/interpret complex scientific data
- Demonstrated ability to work well in a small, collaborative environment with tight timelines
- Proficiency with MS Office software, Endnote, Adobe Acrobat Pro
- Familiarity with good publication practices
Salary is commensurate with experience.
